My First Season at Pearls & Lace — A Look Inside the Dream Job I Didn’t Know I Needed

When I joined Pearls & Lace earlier this year, I knew I wanted to be part of something meaningful. I’ve always dreamed of a role that would feel fulfilling — something more than just a job — and one that allowed me to help create unforgettable experiences for people. What I didn’t expect was how quickly I’d fall in love with everything that makes Pearls & Lace so special.
First Impressions
From the moment I walked through the doors, I could tell this place was different. The girls here truly love what they do — and you can feel it. The boutique itself is beautiful, but it’s the atmosphere that really stands out. It’s warm, welcoming, and filled with genuine excitement for each and every bride who walks in. There’s this calm, happy energy that instantly puts you at ease.
Everything has been thoughtfully designed — from the comfort of the space to the attention to detail in every fitting room. Nothing is overlooked. The lighting, the music, the little touches... it all works together to make each appointment feel special. It’s the kind of place where you feel looked after, understood, and celebrated — exactly how every bride deserves to feel.
Pearls & Lace really is the pink bridal shop of dreams. It’s a space built with love, care, and the sincere goal of making every bride’s journey unforgettable — not just the dress, but the whole experience from the moment she walks in the door.
I feel so lucky to be part of this incredible team and genuinely so happy to be part of an industry that brings so much beauty and meaning to people’s lives. To be able to help create moments that stay with someone forever — that’s something really special, and I don’t take it for granted.
My First Appointment
My first appointment is one I’ll never forget. I was shadowing Emma, and we were helping a bride who was coming in for her very first bridal shop. She was lovely — a little nervous and not sure what to expect, which I could completely relate to because I felt the same way!
From the moment Emma welcomed her in and handed her a glass of prosecco, you could see the nerves slowly melt away. The bride began to relax, to enjoy the process, and to open up about her style and what she was dreaming of. Watching that transformation was something I’ll always remember.
We talked through different shapes and necklines, and she was so open to trying everything — from a sleek fitted style to a romantic A-line. As soon as she stepped into that A-line dress, you could see it in her face — she knew. It was clear that the shape just felt right for her. We played around with different details too — plain vs. lace, fully detailed vs. more minimal, and even a few that were half-and-half. It was so lovely to see her figuring out what she liked and what felt most “her.”
By the end of the appointment, she had said yes to her dress — and I had experienced my very first “yes” moment. It was so special to witness that joy, and every single “yes” since has been just as emotional. It’s one of those heart-full moments that never gets old.
Falling in Love with the Dresses
I’ve fallen completely in love with the dresses here. Every single one is beautiful in its own way, and there truly is something for every bride. It’s so exciting to watch a bride step into a dress that just feels like her — and to help her find the style that brings her vision to life.
Over the season, I’ve learned so much — not just about dress styles, silhouettes, fabrics and lace — but about how to bring a full look together. One thing I now know is that your dress is your picture… and your veil is the frame. I’ve learned how to style veils, choose the right earrings, and bring everything together to create a look that feels completely personal and perfectly “you.”
Looking Ahead
We’ve got so many gorgeous new dresses arriving soon, and I honestly can’t wait. You can see all of our new dresses here. I’m so excited to welcome more brides through the door, share in more “yes” moments, and help even more women find the dress of their dreams.
My Personal Goal
My goal is to continue growing into the best stylist I can be — constantly learning, evolving, and refining how I support our brides throughout their journey. For me, it’s not just about finding the perfect dress. It’s about creating a space where every bride feels seen, heard, and celebrated. I want each person who walks through our doors to leave feeling like the most beautiful and confident version of herself. Because at the heart of this role, it’s never just about the dress — it’s about the moments we share, the memories we help create, and the magic that happens when someone says, this is the one.
