REAL BRIDE BLOG - NIAMH & TJ

Next on the blog we have our beautiful bride Niamh, When Niamh first walked through our doors, she knew one thing for certain: she wanted something classic.
Not too trendy, not over the top — just timeless, elegant, and beautifully bridal, The dress that felt like her. But for many brides, especially those drawn to timeless, elegant styles, the hardest part can be figuring out what “classic” really means to you. For some brides, “classic” means Grace Kelly — a structured bodice, full skirt, and delicate lace. For others, it’s Meghan Markle — minimal, chic, and effortlessly refined.
Classic doesn’t have to mean “plain.” It’s about timeless elegance — the kind of beauty that won’t date when you look back in 30 years.

At Pearls and Lace, we always encourage brides to start with a mix: a few of what you think you love, and a few wild cards. You might be surprised which one makes your shoulders relax and your smile light up. It’s completely normal to feel unsure when you start your bridal journey. Your consultant is there to guide, support, and gently lead you toward your dream dress — even when you can’t quite describe it yet.
Ask questions. Share your thoughts. Let us show you styles you might never have considered.

Let's hear all about it...

Niamh, firstly tell us about your dress?

I went with the Lika style dress by Eva Lendal and always wanted a classic looking dress but didn't know what shape would suit me. I had previously gone to one bridal shop before Pearl and Lace and didn't get much help in what style/shape suited me but when I walked in the door of Pearl and Lace Kristina my bridal consultant went above and beyond to help what suited my body shape. I loved the overskirt part and added a bow to put on the dress for the night part when the over skirt came off. So basically got two dress in one :)

How did you style your dress?

I styled my dress with a cathedral length veil that had pearl edge detailing on it as wanted to keep it classic looking. I then paired it with pearl earrings and a silver tennis bracelet and my flowers where white rose and green foliage with blue thistle.

Tell us about your bridal party?

Our wedding party was styled in a black theme with black bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen in tuxes with our pageboy matching and the flowergirl in an ivory dress to match myself.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

My piece of advice is once you have your main suppliers booked don't stress the little details as no one notices it and either will you on the day and also take it all in as once the day is over the wedding blues kick in and are REAL !!!

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

The buzz of walking into the room being introduced as the new Mr & Mrs Bellew and feeling like is this real ?!

We’re so grateful to every Pearls and Lace bride who shares their photos and memories with us. Each wedding we feature is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do — helping brides feel confident, radiant, and completely themselves.

To all the couples who let us be part of their journey: thank you for allowing us to share in your joy and celebrate your love story. 💕
