REAL BRIDE BLOG- EMILY & CONOR

Emily travelled from Mayo with her sister and cousin. Kristina was Emily's consultant and noted that she initially wanted a lace fishtail and ended up loving 'Anna' a classic matte mikado with a sophisticated A-line silhouette.  Whether you choose a traditional white dress or something entirely different, the most important thing is that you feel beautiful and confident on your special day!

Don't be afraid to experiment and try something you may not have considered as it may just be 'The One'

Let's hear all about it...

Emily, firstly tell us about your dress?

I absolutely loved my dress. It was nothing like what I thought I’d pick but the minute I put it on I new it was mine. I had brought my sister and my cousin with me and they were very particular with all the dresses I had tried before it, but The minute I showed them they both said it was such a ‘Me Dress’ . It was such a lovely feeling seeing the looks on their faces knowing they loved it as much as I did. We didn’t expect to find it on our first visit to pearls and lace. My cousin had actually seen it on instagram stories so just asked could I try it. It was Essense of Australia. I loved everything about it it was so elegant and classy but with a twist of having a slit. It made me feel like a princess.

How did you style your dress?

For jewellery I kept it simple with my mums pearl earrings and a little bracelet. I had borrowed my sisters veil which was covered in little pearls so this all tied in lovely. Anyone that knows me tho knows I love pink so I had pink hydrangeas and pink shoes. The slit made it perfect to show off the pop of pink on my feet when I wanted.

Tell us about your bridal party?

I really wanted my bridesmaids to be comfortable so we went with a dusky pink satin halter neck dress and I let them tell the makeup artist and hair dresses  do their hairs and makeups however they wanted. I had gotten them little rose gold clutch and Pearl earrings. They had white hydrangeas to be different to mine. The men looked so handsome in their suits it’s was a checkered print but all navy with a pop of pink with their ties. And they had white roses pinned to their jackets.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Don’t stress and enjoy every minute of the wedding. I honestly had the best weekend of my life just enjoy yourselves.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

From start to finish I absolutely loved my wedding. If I had to pick one moment tho it was walking down the aisle seeing all our friends and families so happy to celebrate our big day with us and then getting to the top of the aisle and seeing my new husband It was such an overwhelming experience I couldn’t help but shed a few happy tears .

Congratulations Emily & Conor, we are trilled to have played a small part in your special day.
