REAL BRIDE BLOG - HANNAH & ROBERT

Another beauty on the blog today, Hannah came to visit us all the way from the West with her sister Criosa and fell in love with Harriett from Essense of Australia.

The square neckline gives this wedding dress an instant retro feel, calling on the glamour of Old Hollywood. The bodice is beautifully textured, with layers of floral appliques and sparkling sequin details adding dimension throughout the gown. The fit-and-flare silhouette effortlessly hugs the body’s flaring out into a subtly voluminous skirt below the waist. For an elegant bridal finish, the full train is adorned in stunning lace appliques, complete with an organic edge hem.

Let's hear all about it...

Hannah, firstly tell us about your dress?

Well Trisha was amazing, on the day we tried on 14 dresses, and I picked lucky dress number 13, I met my now hubby on Friday the 13th so I knew this was a sign.

My dress was exactly what I thought I wanted. I tried on various types of dresses before I found the one in Pearls and Lace.

I loved the sparkles and how comfortable my dress felt.

I felt amazing in it on the day, it fit like a glove.

I knew it was the one, the minute I tried it on and my sister who couldn't be there on the day due to pregnancy video-called me when i was in the dress and her words were WOW! I then knew it was the dress for me.

How did you style your dress?

With my dress, I wore a long sparkly veil and a beaded belt which I bought both from Pearls and Lace . I wore Jimmy Choo white pointy sparkly shoes. My bouquet was white roses, baby breath and greenery. I went for an elegant but modern look.

Tell us about your bridal party?

My bridesmaids wore beautiful sage green dresses with baby breath flowers and the groomsmen, and  groom wore Navy suits with white roses on their button-holes.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

On the day, soak it all up, things might happen out of your control, i.e. weather, forgetting something, just roll with it. Enjoy every minute. You're only doing it once, so make the most of it all. All the planning and organising will be so worth it.

Also, go to Pearls and Lace when looking for your dress, the experience overall was amazing. I felt so welcomed and time was no issue. There was no one rushing me, I travelled the distance and was not disappointed.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

After the ceremony, when my daughter Mia asked me "Am, you mummy Gately now?"

Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your bridal journey.
