Please don’t worry — we are here to help. Your appointment is not about fitting into a dress on the hanger. It is about finding a gown that makes you feel beautiful, confident and completely yourself.

Our stylists will guide you through the dresses, help you try different shapes and make the experience feel relaxed from the moment you arrive.

It can be helpful to browse online before your appointment and screenshot any dresses you are drawn to. This gives your stylist a starting point and helps us understand the shapes, fabrics and details you love.

You might like lace, sleeves, fitted gowns, A-line dresses, sparkle, simple gowns or something completely different. You may also find it helpful to note what you think you don’t want.

But keep an open mind too. Brides are often surprised by the dress they fall in love with, especially once they see different shapes on their body.

Bridal sizing can feel confusing because wedding dresses often come up smaller than everyday clothing. For example, if you normally wear a size 20, you may need a different size in bridal.

Please don’t let the number on the label worry you. Wedding dress samples rarely fit anyone perfectly, and our stylists have lots of little tricks to help you see how a dress will look when it is ordered in your size and altered to fit you properly.

We include the sample size in the description of our plus size wedding dresses online, so you can check this before your appointment if you would like to.

Wedding dress shopping is such a special experience, but it can feel overwhelming if there are too many opinions in the room.

Bring the people who know you best, make you feel comfortable and understand how you want to feel on your wedding day. You do not need a huge group — sometimes one or two supportive voices are all you need.

If there are other people you would like to involve later, you can always bring them to a styling appointment once you have found your dress.

We hold exclusive curvy bride events throughout the year, where we have an extended range of plus size wedding dresses available for a limited time.
