REAL BRIDE BLOG - EIBHLIN & SEAN

At Pearls and Lace, every bride’s journey to finding the one is unique, and we love being part of those special moments. When this bride visited us for her second bridal appointment, she arrived with an open mind and a willingness to try a variety of styles. With Emma as her stylist, the appointment quickly became one of those lovely experiences where everything just falls into place — leading her to Celine by Mikaella, a dress that felt right the moment she put it on.

Celine is a beautiful strapless, off-the-shoulder crepe wedding dress featuring a softly draped bodice with a sweetheart neckline and delicate organza draped collar. Fabric-covered buttons run down the centre back to the waist, while the elegant crepe skirt features a draped overlap detail with a subtle slit, creating a look that is both timeless and effortlessly sophisticated.

Let's hear all about it...

Eibhlin, firstly tell us about your dress?

Pearls and Lace was the second bridal shop I visited and I was open to trying on a variety of dress styles. Emma was my stylist and she listened to all the little comments I made as I tried on so many lovely dresses. Then she brought in Celine which was a Mikaella dress. I remember trying it on and absolutely loving it then when the veil was added I said to Emma I feel like I could walk up the aisle right now. The dress was so simple and elegant and suited me to a tee. When I walked through the curtain to show my mum and sisters they all said that’s your dress.

How did you style your dress?

My dress was off the shoulder with organza detailing around the top. It had a slit in the skirt which I had stitched for the ceremony and I was able to cut it afterwards which changed the look of the dress. I also added a cathedral length veil with flowers on the outline. I wore my hair up and accessorised with some ceramic style flower clips. My flowers were bright wildflowers made of pinks, purples, peaches, lemons and blues. I wanted to look like the best version of me - so simple and timeless.

Tell us about your bridal party?

My bridesmaids wore blue dresses from Pure Boutique. They were very simple but the blue was so striking and bright. The men all wore black tux.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Everyone will tell you the day goes fast - it literally flies by. So I found having everything sitting out the night before left the morning more enjoyable. Enjoy every moment of it - my wedding car wouldn’t start when we were leaving for the chapel but I got there and wasn’t too late. My husband jokes I am always late so we had a good laugh about it.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

It was so special to celebrate with all our loved ones and that everyone made the time and effort to celebrate us. I loved when I got to the top of the aisle and saw Sean and realised this day we had been planning for years was real and actually happening.

Moments like these are why we love what we do. Being part of such an important memory, and helping a bride feel confident, comfortable, and truly herself on the day she says yes to the dress, is something we never take for granted. We wish them both a lifetime of happiness.
