Another busy week at Pearls & Lace HQ, new arrivals, exciting projects in the pipeline and of course our beautiful brides to be embarking on and completing their special journey. We love being part of our bride's adventure from the initial consultation to the final reveal, helping to bring the bride's vision to life. For us it’s a full circle of connection, from the first meeting to swooning over photographs from our bride and their partner’s special day.
With that in mind we are going to kick off our real bride blog with Siobhán and her now husband Jojo, in sunny Nerja , Spain.
Trisha was Siobhan's bridal consultant and she helped her choose our gorgeous Oliviana dress from Enzoani. A striking mermaid gown featuring floral embroidered lace with a plunging sweetheart neckline bodice..
Let's hear all about it...
Siobhan, firstly tell us about your dress?
From being greeted with a tray of bubbles, a personalised welcome sign, and nibbles to the excellent customer service received from Trisha, I knew I was in the best of hands in Pearls and Lace. My dress was everything I wanted and more. I knew exactly what style I wanted, but I was definitely open-minded. Trisha was great for encouraging me to try all the different styles, and we had so much fun. It really was a memorable day. In the end, I tried on about 8 dresses but the moment I tried on the Oliviana dress by Enzoani (which I saw on the Pearls and Lace Instagram page), nothing felt more perfect.
Siobhan's mum, her sister (bridesmaid), and her maid of honor were there to help her and share their opinions. Their reactions to the Enzoani dress was the best of all, that's when I knew this was my dress. What I loved most about the dress was the low back, its beautiful lace trail, and its mermaid fit. It was feminine, elegant, light weight, which made it the perfect dress for my destination wedding in Spain.
How did you style your dress?
As the train of the dress was the main feature, Trisha suggested a soft and subtle veil (from the Pearls and Lace store) the same length as the train of the dress. It was perfect as it didn't take any attention away from the intricate detail of the train, rather it enhanced it. I wore Jimmy Choo pearl patent leather heels to match my pearl hair slides and pearl earrings.
My flowers were ivory rose, orange rose, eucalyptus, and Gypsophila with pampas grass to tie in the rustic tones of the bridesmaid dresses. The most precious wedding accessory of all was my memory bouquet photo charm my best friend (bridesmaid) bought for me, so I could remember my dad as I walked down the aisle.
Tell us about your bridal party?
The groom wore a beige blazer, matching trousers, a white shirt and rustic orange bow tie from EJs Menswear in Sligo.
The groomsmen wore navy trousers, a white shirt and textured navy dickie bow.
The bridesmaid dresses transitioned from rustic to sunset orange. Each bridesmaid dress was different. They were bought from Oh Hello, Trendyol and Billy J.
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
It is not too early to go wedding dress shopping! I did not realise it can take up to 9 months for your dress to be made and delivered to store. So, be sure to give yourself enough time.
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
Dancing into the courtyard of our wedding venue to Frankie Valli - I Can't Take My Eyes Off You, as our DJ officially welcomed us as Mr and Mrs Mylotte. The atmosphere was incredible and our guests were amazing. Looking around and seeing everyone there, in Spain, to celebrate us was a feeling I will hold on to forever.
Thank you for your fab photos Siobhan, wishing you and your new hubby a long and happy future together.
