REAl BRIDE BLOG - SINEAD & LIAM

Next up on our Real Bride blog is our beautiful Rebel county bride Sinead and her now husband Liam who married in Fossa church, with their reception in the Great Southern, Killarney .

Nollaig was on hand on the day to help Sinead find ‘The one’, the super sparkly Davina by Eva Lendel. Davina a striking mermaid wedding dress embroidered with shining spangles and for added drama an additional over skirt with bow detail.

Sinead's mum and sister made the trip with her to be part of her special morning. We see choosing your wedding dress as a real life moment made all the more memorable when you’re surrounded by your special people.

Let's hear all about it...

Sinead, firstly tell us about your dress?

My mom, sister and I all saw the dress on different occasions on Instagram and Pinterest and kept saying how stunning it was. When I saw Pearls and lace stocked the dress, I booked an appointment straight away and travelled from Cork to Donegal to try the dress. I had tried two other shops prior to pearls and lace. I had tried on around 14 dresses in total and liked a few different styles on me. But I kept the dress I had travelled up to view until last and when I tried on the “Davina” dress by Eva Lendel I knew it was “the one”. It seemed so different to the other styles I’d tried. It's such a unique style and I loved the glitz of the sequins on the dress and the detachable overskirt.

How did you style your dress?

My sister “Darling buds cork” created my dream dried flower bouquet that went so well with my dress.

I chose an upstyle for my hair to compliment the dress, some simple drop diamond earrings; and I got a stunning veil from pearls and lace that was covered in small diamante details.

Later in the evening, I removed the over skirt and added on tulle straps that I had gotten made; which had big bows on both shoulders. The tulle material hung down at the back on both sides almost down to my ankles -like a cape detail!

Tell us about your bridal party?

My bridal party wore light grey beaded bridesmaids dresses from Next
The groom and groomsmen opted for navy suits from Simply Suits.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Appreciate all the small moments on the big day. Things will go wrong but try not to stress as The most important thing is having all your family, friends and loved ones there to celebrate and share your happiness.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

The “first look” with my dad and friends on the morning of the wedding was so special…and of course -walking up the aisle in the church to Liam.
Thank you so much Sinead for sharing your special day with us, we've no doubt it was full to the brim with memories that will be chrished for a lifetime.
