REAL BRIDE BLOG- SHARON & JOHN

REAL BRIDE BLOG- SHARON & JOHN

From choosing a dress that was the complete opposite of what she first imagined, to the emotional moment she saw herself and instantly knew it was the one, this bride’s wedding look came together beautifully. Her stunning Lola gown, was a shimmering lace masterpiece with delicate beaded straps, intricate 3D vine and lace appliqués, a flattering fitted silhouette and a breathtaking sheer lace train. Paired with classic navy styling for the bridal party and soft, colourful florals, every detail felt elegant, romantic and perfectly personal to their day.

Let's hear all about it...

Sharon, firstly tell us about your dress?

My dress was actually the complete opposite of what I originally thought I wanted! It was only the fourth or fifth dress I tried on, and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was something really special.

It was the Lola dress, which I had picked out myself after seeing it on the Pearls & Lace website. I loved everything about it, especially the beautiful detail and the amazing train. The moment I saw myself wearing it, I felt like a princess.

I started to cry straight away, and that was when I knew it was the one. I didn’t need to try on or look at another dress after that.

How did you style your dress?

I styled my dress with a mid-length veil and 1950s-style shoes. For jewellery, I kept things simple with a delicate gold chain and matching earrings.

I had always imagined I would be a very plain and simple bride, but once I found the dress, the whole look became centred around it. It had so much beautiful detail that it really spoke for itself.

For my flowers, I chose a gorgeous mix of pink, yellow and white roses, which added a lovely soft touch of colour to the day.

Tell us about your bridal party?

We kept the bridal party look classic and coordinated with a navy colour palette. The groom and groomsmen wore navy three-piece suits with brown shoes, while the bridesmaids wore elegant full-length navy dresses.

Everything tied together beautifully and created a timeless, polished look for the day.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Enjoy every minute of it do not stress about the little things, the day will run itself, everyone says it goes so quick and by god its true, i felt mine only lasted a few hours. have a list of photos for your photographer that you want as you will forget on the day. Take time to yourself after you are ready as it it the last time on the day that you will get to see yourself. If getting extras get the QR app where your guests can upload their photos i regret not getting it. The photos and video are very import as this is all you have to remind you of the day.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

The whole day from start to finish was amazing hard to pick, But having to pick it would be my 2 sons walking me up the aisle and after mass we walked to our venue with all our guests behind us laughing chatting and singing it was like a scene out of mama mia movie

A huge thank you for sharing such a lovely glimpse into your special day with us. It was a joy to be part of your bridal journey, and we wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful memories together 🤍
