REAL BRIDE BLOG - NIAMH & AUSTIN

There are few moments as unforgettable as choosing your wedding dress. Many brides describe it as a feeling — that instant when you look in the mirror and suddenly see yourself not just in a gown, but as a bride. Sometimes, the dress finds you when you least expect it, even on the very first try, like our next beautiful bride Niamh.

It’s not about following every trend or pleasing every opinion — it’s about trusting your instincts, listening to your heart, and embracing that magical moment when you simply know.

Niamh fell in love with "Celine". This exquisite gown features a strapless off-the-shoulder Crepe bodice with a sweetheart organza drape collar, and a draped overlap skirt with a slit, fabric covered buttons from centre back to waist finish the look.

Let's hear all about it...

Niamh, firstly tell us about your dress?

My dress was the very first one I tried on. I did absolutely fall in love with it the minute I tried it on however as it was the first one I thought I’d have to try more on to give it a proper go. After going to another shop I rang back Pearls and Lace Girls and asked if it was possible that I could come back and try on the first dress I tried one again with the option of an over-skirt. I was dealing with the beautiful Trisha and she said it was no problem at all - she was amazing in every way and made the day an unforgettable experience for me and I will forever remember her for that
The dress I got was the Celine from the Mikaela company in Canada dress with the overskirt. I always thought I wanted the typical “Bardot” style - it was just simple and elegant and that’s all I wanted!
I picked it in March 2024 with my nearest and dearest and then it was ready in store that October 2024 and I collected it with my mum

How did you style your dress?

The overall look I was going for was simple and elegant. I borrowed my sister's veil. It was cathedral length with little diamontes on it. I wore a floating diamond Or Jewellery necklace with pear drop earrings. My shoes were from the BeMine Bridal range in asos a pearl bare there sandal type block heel (comfort was key). My bouquet was a posy style bouquet with different shades of pink with baby's breath in between. Each of my bridesmaids had a rose with baby's breath mixed in as a unique twist.

Tell us about your bridal party?

The Bridesmaids wore the elegant chiffon applique evening dress from "Everpretty" in the shade purple orchid (which was more of a dusty pink).
My husband wore a dark navy tux from Remus Uomo and the groomsmen wore a Remus uomo navy and grey waistcoats all from Eddie Murphy’s menswear.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Trust your gut and do what YOU want to do for your Wedding day. It is you and your partner's special day and let no one get in the way of that. Sometimes things may seem impossible but just know that it will all be worth it on the day!!

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

I think my favourite moment from the whole day was 100% walking down the aisle and knowing that this was going to be the best day of our entire lives!
I would be lying if I was to say there was just one memorable moment from the whole day.
From the moment I woke up I just had the best time. The vibes were very chill in the house in the morning and everything went so seamlessly throughout the day.

At the end of the day, your wedding dress is more than fabric and lace — it’s a reflection of your love story and the moment you step into forever. Trust your instincts, cherish the emotions, and don’t be surprised if the very first gown steals your heart. When you find the one that makes you feel like the best version of yourself, you’ll know — just as surely as you knew the person waiting for you at the end of the aisle.

Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness
