There’s something so special about watching a bride find the one — especially when the dress she falls for is completely different from what she imagined she would choose.
For this bride, her journey with us at Pearls & Lace began with an open mind and a few ideas of what she thought she wanted. After trying a little bit of everything, it was the stunning Eliza Dress that changed everything. From that first smile to the happy tears, this was one of those appointments we’ll always remember. Mariesa fell in love with Eliza, a glamorous fit-and-flare gown featuring an off-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline, floral lace, sparkling sequins and delicate beading. The fitted silhouette flatters the figure before flowing into a lace-embellished skirt and elegant train, while fabric-covered buttons add a timeless touch to the back.

Mariesa, firstly tell us about your dress?
My dress was the stunning eliza dress. Pearls and lace was the first dress shop I went to and i had a beautiful experience. I had a few ideas of what I might like but I went in very open minded. It was my first bridal experience. It was strange in what I thought i wanted was completely not what I wanted when I tried on dresses and I went for something completely different in the end. I tried on all different styles of dresses. When i got to the one i just knew. I felt amazing in it as soon as I put it on I was smiling from ear to ear as we're my entourage. I continued trying on other dresses, then I decided I wanted to put eliza on again. The girls in pearls and lace jacked me up then with a veil and accessories and that was it I started crying as did the whole bridal party. It was the reaction I was hoping for.
How did you style your dress?
I was going for an elegant look, and the dress was just that. I styled it with diamanté drop earrings, and a beautiful matching bracelet which I also bought in Pearls and lace. I went for a cathedral length diamanté veil bought in store. My flowers were stunning, lilac and white with diamanté running through the flowers
Tell us about your bridal party?
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
One definite bit of advice is be organised. Once all the booking at the early stages is done there is a lul. Keep on top of all the planning so when it comes close to the day you can actually enjoy the build up with no stress. I thoroughly enjoyed the 2 weeks run up before the big day as I was super organised don't forget to actually enjoy the ride! Dont sweat the small stuff!
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
On the wedding day I was super chilled which was surprising. There are so many beautiful memories it is so hard to choose just one! Looking at my husband's face as he met me at the isle was everything i imagined. Getting up on stage with my new husband, playing some music together with our wedding band was super special, Also having everyone we love there to celebrate our special day was epic too, but most of all becoming a husband and wife was the most special part of the day x
