REAL BRIDE BLOG - LEANNE & JJ

As we look back on all the beautiful moments shared, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for each of you who has joined us on this bridal blog . From the brides-to-be who entrusted us with the dream of finding their perfect dress, to the friends, families, and supporters who have celebrated each milestone along the way — thank you.

Today on the blog we have our beautiful bride Leanne and her new husband JJ. They held their dream day in the stunning Harvey's Point.

Leanne chose Charlotte by Martina Liana, an elegant short sleeve column dress with 3D floral detail.

Elegant and charming, Charlotte elevates traditional bridal design with glamour. From the slightly puffed cap sleeves, a flattering V-neckline and sexy plunge complement the figure and meet a low V-back detail made complete with a row of fabric-covered buttons. Swirling embroidery and 3D floral accents embellish the gown over softly sparkling glitter lace underlay tulle to add a glamorous dimension to the sleek column sheath silhouette.

Let's hear all about it...

Leanne, firstly tell us about your dress?

I said yes to the dress at Pearls and Lace at my first appointment. Noreen was my bridal consultant. She is the most lovely lady and so professional. My dress wasn't what I thought I wanted. I tried on maybe 6 or 8 dresses. The one I went for, was the 2nd dress that I tried on(Charlotte), and every dress I tried on after that I always said "yeah it's nice but not as nice as 'Charlotte' ".
Martina Liana was my wedding dress designer. I knew it was the one the second I pulled it up and then showed my girls. Their reaction was priceless. I just knew it was the one. The most special thing is that the fabric that came off my dress went on to my daughter's so we were kind of matching

How did you style your dress?

I styled my dress very simple as there's already alot of sequins on my dress. I wore a pair of stud diamond ear rings with my hair down but pulled back. My Veil was very simple too, just plain with sparkles on it ✨️ my necklace that my husband got me maybe 10years ago I wear it everyday so I kept that on.
I went with @fauxblooms Ireland. I always wanted fake flowers. My bouquet was plain white and bridesmaids bouquet was matching their dresses, which was purple/pink.

Tell us about your bridal party?

The groom and groomsmen all wore tux, from @ejmenswear. Groom was in black trousers, grey jacket. Groomsmen in all black. All wore bows.

The bridesmaids dresses were from @hellymoon. Pinky/purple. Silver heels.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

I was so calm throughout my wedding planning journey because I was quiet organised. Set a list and just tick things off. Do what you and your groom want, it's your day. " If something doesn't go to plan, don't worry because no one else knows your plan". Enjoy your day, it goes too fast to worry!

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

I honestly couldn't pick one. But thee most important thing was that everything went smoothly and our wee daughter was enjoying it as much as we were and that made me very happy. Also going to get photos was so lovely as it was a nice time for me and my husband to finally chat and just be with each other.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We’re grateful for each reader, comment, and bride who trusted us to help make their day magical.
With all our love and appreciation,
The Pearls & Lace Girls xx
