Katie, firstly tell us about your dress?
My dress was the Lanvee dress by Eva Lendel! I saw it on the website and it was the first dress I tried on. I loved it, but planned on also wanting the over skirt, but was surprised at how much I loved the dress on its own, so I kept it the way it was. I absolutely loved it! I felt like a movie star, it was such a flattering design and was so comfortable to wear all day. I hadn’t seen it on any other brides, which I loved too!
How did you style your dress?
I wore my dress with a beautiful veil from the shop too! It had a trim around the edges that was similar to the design on the dress, and it made the whole look come together. I added some drop pearl earrings and some pearly strappy heels and it was done! My flowers were pink peony roses for my Nan, and my handbag was another Vinted find!
Tell us about your bridal party?
I didn’t have a bridal party! I got ready that morning with my mum, godmother, MUA and hairdresser. My flower girls were four legged, furry Bernese Mountain Dogs! My daughters Bear and Belle!
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
Do what makes you happy! Don’t waste your money on shoes you can’t see under your dress! Search for everything on Vinted! It’s 24 hours of your life that’s just for you and your husband, enjoy it! Don’t let the stress ruin everything for you!
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
My favorite memory of the day was our ceremony. We had so many beautiful readings, traditions and rituals that turned the ceremony into a love-filled hour where everyone was smiling and laughing
