Keeping an open mind can often lead to the most unexpected bridal moments — and that was exactly the case for our gorgeous bride Jade. Jade fell in love with Nora , a romantic A-line wedding gown featuring sparkling lace detail throughout. With elegant long sheer sleeves, a flattering V-neckline and a stunning open back, this gown combines timeless bridal style with modern glamour. Layers of soft tulle and cascading beaded lace create beautiful movement, while a subtle side slit adds the perfect contemporary finishing touch.
Let's hear all about it...
Jade, firstly tell us about your dress?
The dress I picked was Nora it was not at all what I had expected to pick and never looked at anything like it either for inspiration. I tried on 3 dresses before this one, I was very open minded going in and would be happy to try on different styles I wouldn’t usually go for and this was the last one brought in and the minute I put it on I knew this was it. The detailing is what sold it for me. The back was beautiful how it tied and the length of the trail gave me that princess vibes I was looking for. The glisten it gives is so magical! The dress was also so comfortable and light to wear. I felt so beautiful and the reactions from my sisters when we pulled back the curtain was also a given that this was the one for me. Trisha was with me on the day and had brought it in to try as I wasn’t looking at anything with sleeves, she was spot on with this choice to give it a go as it suited me perfect.
How did you style your dress?
I was going for princess vibes, so I also got the Tamara
tiara to wear on the day. I had teardrop
earrings and a ring with an emerald that I got to tie into the colour theme, we had guests in black and the bridal party were emerald green. My flowers then also had the black going through them, a mix between real and black artificial flowers with some dried that was dipped in silver. I did my own makeup and did a winged liner with glowy skin and a red lip as I’m fairly pale and wanted this pop of colour
Tell us about your bridal party?
Dylan wore a green suit. Everyone was wearing black on the day so the green was a lovely pop for him to stand out
The bridesmaids all wore emerald green and picked their own style. I had 8 girls and the contrast of the different fabrics and styles worked so lovely together. They had silver shoes and all picked their own hairstyle, I feel it’s hard to pick one dress for multiple people as it’s not going to suit everyone and you can read if someone isn’t comfortable and them feeling amazing and comfy was my main concern, they all looked stunning. The groomsmen had tuxedos with double breasted waistcoats and emerald green bows. Looked very classy!
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
My advise to other brides planning their big day is to remember it’s you and your partners moment, do everything and anything you want and don’t worry about what anyone else thinks! If it makes you happy do it enjoy every minute of it as it flies.
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
The most memorable moments of the day were walking around in the rain laughing taking our photos and an unexpected game of rock paper sisters to decide who’s doing the vows first
Thank you to our beautiful bride for letting us share a glimpse into such a special day and for allowing us to be part of her bridal journey. We wish you both a future filled with love, laughter and so many wonderful memories together. 💕
