REAL BRIDE BLOG - GLORIA & ALAN

From Cork to the sun-drenched charm of the Algarve, Gloria’s journey to finding her dream wedding dress was as magical as the day itself. With the romantic backdrop of Solar Do Paço in Algoz, Portugal, this bride's bridal vision came to life in the most breathtaking way. But before the vows and the vineyard views, there was the dress—the one that made her feel like herself, only more radiant, the fabulous "Claire" by Enzoani. An ethereal A-line beauty showcases a plunging sweetheart neckline with intricate 3D floral motifs and embroidered lace atop sparkly glitter tulle fabric. The romantic exposed corset boning, illusion side cut-outs, and off-the-shoulder tulle straps tie together to create an enchanting bridal look.

Let's hear all about it...

Gloria, firstly tell us about your dress?

I could probably say I would of never thought I'd pick the dress I did it was A-line style I would of always thought I would wear a fitted Satin or lace dress.
But I absolutely loved my dress. Was it what I thought I wanted: When I 1st saw my dress I was unsure the moment I put it on I new I found "My dream dress"

I had been to two dress shops in Cork one shop in Belfast but I honestly could not compare any of those experiences to my "Pearl and Lace" experience from the moment we walked through the door I felt so at ease, Very relaxed atmosphere such friendly ladies, I had the pleasure of having Emma help me find my dress and I could not recommend Emma more I feel she is a very good judge of character and new exactly what I should and shouldn't try beyond helpful and genuinely honest which is very hard to come by.

Designer: Love by Enzoani "Claire"

What I loved most: I got married in Portugal so I really wanted a light dress and my dress was tulle so it was very easy to move around in and so light.

How did you style your dress?

My dress came with a detachable shoulder cuff, I got a sleeve made also detachable to add on, I was very unsure about wearing a veil but very happy I did now.
As our venue was a historic manor house the vibe was very boho so we had lots of pampas grass and sea shells we kept our colour scheme neutrals (whites, creams, browns)

Tell us about your bridal party?

Groom and groomsmen: They all wore full suits from Red Church in Cork City Centre, The groom wore a full 'Biscuit colour' suit and the groomsmen and father of the bride wore a "Biscuit colour" suit jacket and navy waistcoat and pants.

Bridesmaids wore: "light silver colour" ruched Grecian style dresses

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Relax!!! Enjoy every moment even the stressful bits because you will only ever do it all once. Take in every moment celebrate as much as you can have days out go for lunch, spa days, brunch, hen party do it all. Don't forget each other in all the planning make sure you make time for each other on the day I'm so glad we done this, Do everything that you want to do to make your day special you deserve it. x

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

We had a "Sweetheart table" and I loved this so much as we had time to chat and sit and watch everyone enjoy themselves and appreciate everyone around us and just take it all in.

From Cork to Donegal to the Algarve, Gloria's bridal story reminds us: when you find the dress, you just know. We are honoured to have played a small part in your happily ever after. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
