REAL BRIDE BLOG - EMMA & PADRAIG

There’s something truly powerful about choosing a wedding dress that feels like you. Not overly done, not wildly unexpected—just beautifully aligned with your everyday elegance. Whether it's a sleek silhouette, understated lace, or a soft drape that moves with ease, staying true to your usual style brings an effortless kind of confidence. It’s not about transformation—it’s about elevation. On your wedding day, authenticity is the most beautiful thing you can wear.

Emma fell in love with the Harlow 2401 by Mikaella—a breathtaking blend of crêpe and Guipure lace. This elegant gown features a sleek crepe bodice with pleated cap sleeves and a plunging V-neckline, accented by Guipure lace cutouts along the sides, subtly lined with natural Italian tulle. The sheer lace continues across the back, adding a touch of romantic detail. Finished with a fit-and-flare crepe skirt and expertly shaped seams, the silhouette offers an impeccable, flattering fit from every angle.

Let's hear all about it...

Emma, firstly tell us about your dress?

Yes it was exactly what I wanted. I wanted something plain and fitted and I wanted my shoulders covered so when I saw this dress a few months before I went  shopping I knew this was what I wanted but wasn't sure if it would suit me. Pearl and Lace was the first shop I went to and I fitted on about 10 dresses and my dress was the second one I tried on. I just knew it was the one when I tried it on. The designer was Harlow 2401 Mikaella

How did you style your dress?

I wore gold pointed heels from Dune and I wore gold with a pearl Earring. (Lainey,  Leslie ) My flowers were a mixture of pinks and off white with some greenery.

Tell us about your bridal party?

The groom and groomsmen went with Navy Tuxes with black shiny shoes.and the bridesmaid were in a blush pink dress with silver heels.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Enjoy every single minute of the build up as the time goes by so quickly. Try not to stress about anything as it all works out on the day

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

My most memorable moment was the church part of the wedding where  I married my best friend.
