REAL BRIDE BLOG - EIMEAR & DALE

Finding your wedding dress is such a special part of the bridal journey, and for one of our beautiful Pearls & Lace brides Eimear, it was all about that feeling you just can’t quite explain. From trying on different styles to trusting her instincts, she discovered that sometimes, the dress you least expect is the one that feels completely right. We caught up with her to hear all about finding the one, the special moments that made it certain, and the little details that brought her bridal look together.
Eimear fell in love with the Afida gown by Eva Lendel, a striking design featuring intricate floral lace, dimensional blossoms and shimmering beading throughout. With its structured bodice, square neckline, dramatic full skirt, high slit and elegant cathedral train, it perfectly balances modern structure with romantic, statement-making details.

Let's hear all about it...

Eimear, firstly tell us about your dress?

My dress was from the girls at Pearls & Lace by Eve Landel, a Ukrainian designer. It was an elegant A-line gown with a square neckline and delicate mesh detailing at the sides of the bodice, creating a hourglass silhouette. The skirt flowed into a full ballgown-style bottom, with delicate floral detailing and subtle touches of sparkle throughout. I paired it with a church-length veil from Pearls & lace with a subtle sparkle to compliment the dress. It was the fifth dress I tried on. it’s true what they say — it’s not necessarily the dress itself, but the feeling you get when you put it on that tells you it’s the one!!

I had been wrestling with the idea of having sleeves, to the point where I ordered them but immediately cancelled the order the next morning! When I tried my dress on again, I realised that less is more. It felt elegant, timeless and just completely me.

Seeing my Mum and my best friend’s reaction assured me I had picked the right dress. It was the first dress that made them both cry and that was the moment I knew. There was just something about the dress and how I felt wearing it that made everything click.

How did you style your dress?

My theme for the day overall was “timeless”. I didn’t want to have pictures hanging on our wall and in twenty years time thinking “oh my, I can’t believe we wore that”, I wanted everything classy and to stand the test of time. My brief for my florist was white roses with no greenery apart from the stem. I didn’t want anything to distract from my dress. I wore a stud earring as I had my hair back from my face, with enough sparkle to compliment my dress.

Tell us about your bridal party?

My husband, Dale wore a beautiful velvet burgundy jacket tux while the men wore crisp black tuxedos. My bridesmaids wore a beautiful flattering satin burgundy dress, off one shoulder that reflected nicely in our photos against the men’s tuxedos and Dale’s jacket. We paired the girls burgundy with a gold heel, and a small gold drop earring. Again, we kept the elegant and timeless look throughout.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Being a makeup artist myself, the only advice I can give, is the same as what I give to all my own brides: On the day, let it go!! Your work is done, it’s up to everyone else! it’s up to your glam squad to make you look good, the chef to provide everyone good food, and the dj to have everyone dance the night away! Live in the moment!

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

One of my most memorable moments was having our children there to share the day with us. They are such a huge part of our story so having them there to witness us getting married is something I’ll treasure forever.

Thank you Eimear & Dale for sharing a little glimpse into your beautiful day with us. It’s been so lovely to hear the story behind your special moments and the dress you fell in love with. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.
