Ciara fell in love with Shauna 7557 by Stella York. A classic fit-and-flare wedding dress featuring a square neckline and wide straps for a touch of timeless elegance.

Ciara, firstly tell us about your dress?

I had been looking online prior to starting the dress shopping journey and a good idea of what i wanted in terms of shape and style of dress! But still when the day came i tried on every style just to be sure and even dresses i thought i would love just didn’t tick all the boxes for me! I had tried on maybe 10-15 dresses before finding the one, i narrowed it down to 2 before saying yes to my dress! I love that the style compliments my body type so well but also it’s a timeless dress that i can look back on in years to come and still love! The huge selling point for me was the bottoms down the back and the bow!!! I felt absolutely amazing in my dress, i honestly didn’t want to take it off! I had picked something similar to try on and Kristina actually pulled this one and boy did she do good!! An absolutely beautiful stella york design. I honestly couldn’t thank Kristina enough, she listened to everything i said i liked and didn’t like, watched my queues on how i how comfortable or not i looked in a dress and really made sure i was 100% happy! She also made sure to include my gang which was really lovely! I can’t recommend pearls and lace enough!!!

How did you style your dress? 

I was extremely laid back when it came to my overall look. All i wanted was a nice dress , a veil and some shoes that wouldn’t kill my feet! I got the most beautiful veil with lace and diamond edge from richard designs and it was show shopping!I kept jewellery relative simple just wearing some lovely silver and pearl earrings (pearl edit) with a matching bracelet! My flowers were created by the flower shop in stranorlar and they were incredible! I wanted a nice rustic pink with darker tones coming through and that’s exactly what i got!!

Tell us about your bridal party?

I always thought i wanted satin champagne for my bridesmaids and only when i ordered a sample in both satin and a vintage mauve i feel completely in love with the mauve.A beautiful one shoulder dress with “cape” feature on the bottom and it just looked gorgeous on everyone! The Gents opted for lovely navy suits which looked extremely well with the pink tones of the ladies! I let my mum wear whatever colour she wanted and of course she opted for her favourite…green! Dad opted for navy too to tie in with men! 

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

Don’t do your table numbers the night before your wedding! ha 

No, honestly just relax and enjoy the build up as much as you can. The morning of, take it all in, maybe set time aside for yourself to relax and spend time 10-15 mins alone away from the madness! You’ll be surprised how quick the day goes!! And make sure to spend time with your husband on the day!! Plenty of dancing and singing to be done together! 

What was your most memorable moment of your special day? 

It’s so hard to find just one moment that was the most memorable!! Even simple things like having people from different stages of our lives all together in place was so special. I did a first look with my parents then my grandparents and it was just so nice. My dog also joined us after the ceremony! But just walking into the reception hand in hand for the first time as husband and wife was probably my favourite! It’s a day you won’t forget
