Every bride begins her wedding dress journey in her own way. Some arrive with a clear vision, others come with an open mind, ready to try different shapes, fabrics and details until something simply feels right.
For our beautiful Pearls & Lace bride Chloe, it was a little bit of both. She knew there were certain things she loved, and a few details she wanted to avoid, but she was also open to the experience — trusting the process and allowing herself to be surprised.
Chloe fell in love with "June", a beautifully romantic wedding dress designed with the modern bride in mind. Featuring a flattering square neckline, this gorgeous gown is adorned with delicate floral lace, softly embellished with beading and sequin details for the perfect touch of sparkle. The lace is scattered across layers of glitter tulle, flowing effortlessly to the back where a row of crystal buttons adds a timeless finishing detail.
Let's hear all about it...
Chloe, firstly tell us about your dress?
I had went to Pearls & Lace to start looking for my dream dress. I had went with an open mind to trying on everything that was brought to me, but knew there was certain things I wanted/didn’t want. I had Trisha on the day and she was amazing! I think on the day I had tried on 8 or 9 dresses and the last one that I tried on was only new into the shop that day! It was gorgeous and had everything I knew I wanted for my dress, it was called ‘June’.Trisha had put a veil on me and that was the icing on the cake both my Mammy and Auntie instantly started to cry and I knew that it was the dress for me! I loved the sleeves and neck line and how it made me feel I just couldn’t wait to wear it on our wedding day.
How did you style your dress?
I wore my hair up with a chapel length veil that had a floral sequin pattern around the edge of it. I wore a simple pair of sliver tie knot
earrings. My shoes were a pair of simple ivory heels with a pearl bow at the front that was made up of all single pearls. I had made my own flowers for myself and the bridal party, they were burgundy and ivory roses with some baby’s breath in between, my bouquet also had some greenery throughout it.
Tell us about your bridal party?
My bridesmaids wore ‘ever lilyana’ it was an elegant v-neck open back chiffon bridesmaid dress with ruffled sleeves in the colour burgundy from ‘Ever Pretty’
Our 2 daughters as flower girls wore ivory long sleeve lace dress with a bow at the front and back!
My husband wore a Benetti tux- dark green jacket and black waistcoat and trousers and the groomsmen wore all black Benetti tux from Evolve Menswear in Letterkenny.
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
Do what you want it’s your wedding day! It’s about what you and your partner want and nothing else matters! Don’t let anyone talk you into doing something you don’t like or want! Make it as easy and stress free as possible. It’s all the little things you think that matter and in the end no one even notices it!
Take it all in, be organised and enjoy the lead up to the big day! It’s magical.
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
I can’t actually say that we had just one memorable moment. From the minute we woke it was just the best thing. It was so chill!
If I was to pick one moment in particular it would probably have to be watching our 2 daughters having the time of their lives they loved every minute from the buzz of getting ready with the bridesmaids and me, to dancing the night away.
We had the time of our lives it was truly an amazing day from start to finish! We just danced the night away with all our loved ones it was incredible to have them there to celebrate us! It was honestly the quickest day of our lives it just seemed to be over in the blink of an eye but we would do it all again if we could!
"I couldn’t recommend the girls at Pearls & Lace enough they are amazing! They know exactly what each person needs and what suits them! "
