REAL BRIDE BLOG - AOIBHIN & BARRY

Planning your wedding is one of the most exciting journeys you'll ever take—and choosing the perfect dress is a moment you'll never forget. At Pearls & Lace, we're here to inspire, guide, and celebrate with you every step of the way.

Aoibhin found her "One" in the form of Lucy D3445 by Essense of Australia. The modern lace and sequin bodice features elegant wide-set straps and a sexy plunging illusion neckline, all framed by a luxurious embroidered and beaded trim. The semi-sheer waist band highlights the delicate lace features and connects the alluring front bodice to the daring V-shaped back detail.

Let's hear all about it...

Aoibhin, firstly tell us about your dress?

Pearls and lace was the first and only shop I tried for dresses. I had followed them on instagram before I even got engaged.

I seen my dream dress on there page and couldn’t wait to get down to try it.  I travelled from Newry down to Donegal and oh my goodness was it worth it.  It was even better than what I had ever imagined.  It was the most sparkliest detailed princess dress I have ever seen and I fell in love with it straight away.

I said yes to the dress on the day and my experience couldn’t have been any better, Catherina and the girls made me feel so special with all the personal touches it was honestly the best shopping experience ever. Nothing was a problem.

How did you style your dress?

My dress was detailed with pearls, glitter and lace so I opted for a plain chapel length veil so not to take away from my beautiful dress.

I wore pearl drop earrings and kept my flowers a pink mix to match my bridesmaids.

Tell us about your bridal party?

My bridesmaids wore a blush pink dress with a plunge neckline to match my dress.

The groom and groomsmen wore navy tuxedos.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

The only advice I would have is to enjoy every minute of the planning and try not to stress. I kept my wedding small and found the planning really enjoyable.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

Seeing my groom at the top of the alter made my day as I could see him smiling from the minute I walked in. My day was everything I ever wanted and more.
