Welcome to a brand-new year filled with love, excitement, and all things bridal! As we step into 2025, we’re reflecting on the beautiful moments we’ve shared with our brides and looking ahead to what’s to come. Whether you're recently engaged or getting closer to your big day, we’re here to make your wedding gown dreams come true.
Our first bride on the blog this year is the beautiful Anne Marie and not forgetting her now husband Paul.
Let's hear all about it...
Anne Marie,, firstly tell us about your dress?
My wedding dress was Posie by designer Blue by Enzoani. It was a beautiful fit and flare with a sweetheart neckline and low open back. There was delicate embroidered floral lace on the bodice and throughout the dress which really gave the dress a romantic feel. The dress was full of sparkle from top to bottom and had stunning long train. I was very shocked when I choose this dress, as I always thought that I wanted a satin ballgown but there was no denying that Posie was my dress when I put first put it on. I loved that I felt so elegant and glamorous at the same time, it gave me all the feels and I even shed tears when I saw myself. It was my first time wedding dress shopping and I tried on 7 dresses before I found the one.
How did you style your dress?
When it came to accessorising I wanted to keep it simple and elegant. My earrings were the Autumn Pearly Drop from Pearls & Lace. My veil had small scattered sparkles on it which was also from Pearls & Lace. My shoes were from The Perfect Bridal Company and my pearl bracelet was from Azure Jewellery. For my bridal bouquet I went with a classic romantic loose style bouquet. There was a mix of ivory and peach roses, blue thistle and eucalyptus leaves.
Tell us about your bridal party?
Our bridal party consisted of 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. The bridesmaids wore light blue floor length, A-line chiffon dresses. The groomsmen wore navy suits with white shirts and light blue ties to match the colour of the bridesmaid dresses. Paul (the groom) wore the same colour suit as the groomsmen but had an ivory tie. We also had 3 flower girls and they all wore ivory dresses with little flower headbands.
What would your advice be for other brides to be?
My advice for Brides-To-Be is regarding the wedding day itself, we were given this advice and it was actually really nice. On your wedding day make sure to take some time alone in private with your new husband or wife, even if it’s just for 10 minutes before the meal starts. The day goes by so quick and there is a lot going on, it’s nice to just have a few minutes alone to chat and to take some of the day in.
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
The most memorable moment of the day had to be walking down the aisle to Paul in the church, it was so surreal and emotional. It was all very real in that moment, all the planning was done and all that was left to do was to marry Paul and enjoy our special day. We were also very lucky to have such a lovely priest who allowed us to have our little dachshund Daphne in the church for the ceremony. I think our guests enjoyed seeing her walking down the aisle more than me lol.
A big thank you to all the wonderful ladies in Pearls and Lace for everything you did! xx
Cheers to love laughter and happily ever after, thank you Anne Marie and Paul for allowing us a sneak peek into your special day.
