REAL BRIDE BLOG - AILISH & ANTHONY

When you know what you're looking for, it can be easy to focus on one particular style — but every so often a dress comes along that changes your mind completely. ✨ For this gorgeous bride, the search was about finding something elegant, flattering and true to her personal style. After exploring a number of options, she found herself drawn to a gown that offered everything she was looking for, while also bringing a little something unexpected. Sometimes the right dress isn't the one you planned for — it's the one you can't stop thinking about. 💕

Ailish fell in love with "Chela" ,a modern satin wedding gown that effortlessly combines timeless elegance with contemporary style. Featuring a beautifully draped strapless bodice with a soft scoop neckline, this luxurious design contours the figure before flowing into a stunning A-line skirt. A row of fabric-covered buttons adds a classic touch, while the statement leg slit and dramatic cathedral train bring a fashion-forward finish to this sophisticated bridal look. ✨

Let's hear all about it...

Ailish, firstly tell us about your dress?

I always had a very clear idea of the kind of dress I wanted — something timeless and elegant with a structured bodice and a really cinched-in waist. I knew I wanted something that felt flattering and classic, but I surprised myself by completely falling for more of a ball gown silhouette than I ever expected to.

I had tried on quite a few dresses before finding it, and while there were dresses I liked, nothing compared to the feeling I had when I put this one on. The moment I saw it, I just knew. It still felt very “me”, but it had that extra wow factor that made it feel so special and bridal.

What I loved most was the shape and how it made me feel — confident, comfortable and genuinely excited for the day itself. It was one of those moments where I stopped overthinking and couldn’t picture myself wearing anything else. The reaction from everyone with me definitely helped, but ultimately I knew myself straight away that it was the one.

How did you style your dress?

I really wanted the overall look to feel elegant, timeless and quite minimalist. Because the dress itself made such a statement, I kept everything else very refined and clean. I chose a simple veil with subtle beading detail, which added just the right amount of softness and sparkle without taking away from the dress.

For my hair, I went for a sleek, tight bun which suited the structured feel of the dress perfectly and kept everything feeling polished and modern. I also loved adding small details that elevated the overall look — my shoes had diamanté detailing across the foot, which worked so well with the slit in the dress and added a little bit of glamour when they peeked through.

I wanted everything to feel very cohesive and effortless rather than overstyled, and I think the combination of the sleek styling with the softer bridal details achieved exactly that.

What would your advice be for other brides to be?

What would your One piece of advice for other brides to be planning their weddings?
Break it down into small chunks! At times I found it hard to find the time to put into organising the wedding and the smaller details. On the day, it's really just about you and your partner and celebrating all the people you love in one room together. Everyone says it's the best day of your life, and it really is.

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

Taking a deep breath before walking down the aisle with my Mum - once I locked eyes with Anthony and got to the top all the nerves vanished. I wish I could bottle that feeling forever!

A heartfelt thank you to our beautiful bride for sharing a glimpse into her special day and these stunning photographs with us. 💕 It’s always such a joy to see our brides looking so happy and confident in their chosen gown. We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter and wonderful memories together. ✨
