Question 1. Firstly- tell us about your dress?
(Was it what you thought you wanted? Had you tired on many dresses before you found the one? What designer was it? What did you love most about it? How did you feel in it? How did you know it was the one? Did you pick it yourself or did someone else pick it for you?)
My dress was designed by Martina Liana in the style Amara 1165, it had Ivory Lace on Luxe Crepe with Porcelain Tulle Plunge and an incredibly detailed train with floral prints. I had been to one other bridal shop prior to Pearls and Lace so I knew that I didn’t suit the ball gown style dresses and wanted something slightly more fitted. I had first discovered Pearls and Lace through Instagram and when I seen their page I automatically knew I was going to find my wedding dress there and couldn’t wait to book my appointment! When we had viewed Cabra Castle and went for our walk around I had visioned myself standing on the beautiful staircase and having a long dramatic train so when I went for my appointment in Pearls and Lace this was one thing I was certain on. I had selected a few dresses with my family and just didn’t seem to find one that ticked all the boxes, with the help of Emma we narrowed down what we thought suited me best and I left it in Emma’s trusting hands to go out and pick me 5 dresses. I fell in love with the second dress Emma had picked and it had everything I said I had wanted. I felt amazing in it and knew it was the one for me, what gave me more reassurance was when I FaceTimed my sister and dad and my dad said that’s the one, get it, I knew I had to get it. Emma is amazing at what she does and  I am so grateful to her for picking out exactly what I was looking for.
  Question 2. The Details
How did you style your dress? (What accessories did you wear? Did you have an overall look you were going for (e.g. elegant, vintage, 20s) What style flowers did you go for?)

For styling my dress I wanted to keep it classy and elegant. I kept my veil plain so it wouldn’t overshadow the amazing back of my dress and went for cathedral length which was also from pearls and lace. For accessories I had a pair of my late grandmothers earrings that match perfectly to my engagement ring and my mother bought me a gorgeous silver bracelet from TA Mercers in Enniskillen to match. I styled my hair in a high messy bun as I wanted to ensure my back wasn’t hidden. For flowers I wanted to keep it soft, elegant and romantic to tie in with the castle theme and also to match my bridesmaids dresses so I went for blush pink and white roses with some gorgeous greenery and eucalyptus through it. Roisin from nettles and Petals really brought my vision to life and the flowers were amazing and got so many compliments on them

Question 3.The Bridal Party
How did you style the rest of the wedding party? What did groom and groomsmen wear? What did your bridesmaids wear?

Kyle and his groomsmen, ushers and father of the bride and groom all wore tuxedos from The Wedding Centre, Kyle had always wanted to wear a tux as he felt it was classy and fitting for the castle theme. For Kyle to stand out from the rest of the men he wore a black velvet jacket. The bridesmaids wore the dress style Astrid by Miabelle from Creative Ideas in Cookstown, the dresses were a lovely soft satin pink colour with gold accessories and ivory shoes and bag. The mother of bride dress was in ivory and from Gasp in Armagh and mother of the groom dress was from Style boutique in Omagh.
Question 4. Advice for other Brides
What would your One piece of advice for other brides to be planning their weddings?

One piece of advice I would give to other brides is write plenty of lists! I made a list for everything possible and it kept me right through the whole process. Don’t underestimate the amount of information you have to try and remember and it can get overwhelming but if you write down a to do list and tick of each thing as you go along it will make it a whole lot easier!

Question 5. What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
The most memorable part of the day was seeing my husband standing at the top of the church and walking down the aisle with my father. It was lovely to be surrounded by all my friends and family. I didn’t feel nervous at all just excited and happy for the next chapter in my life to begin.
