Firstly- tell us about your dress?

I hadn’t been to any other shops, so our first shop was Pearls & Lace. I really thought I’d go for something Boho, flowing dress. I had the image in my head. I tried on about 5 dresses. My mum & sister were very honest & I didn’t feel the dresses were very me either. The girls listened to what I liked/disliked about the dresses. I tried on my final dress & it was the one. I felt beautiful & got the butterfly feeling. We all cried, so we took that as a sign “it’s the one”. I ended up going for Essence of Australia dress. It had a sheath silhouette with some flare & also my favourite part, a really long train!
The Details

I wore a cathedral length veil which has small diamonds & blue sapphire earrings. My flowers were a rustic & elegant look. The flowers tied in the bridesmaids colours well. I never really thought ‘what style am I going for’ but went with all the features of the dress & would probably say that was elegant.

The Bridal Party

The groom wore a green tweed suit, which we had made for him. Bridesmaids wore dresses from phase eight, knee length & flowing arms. They wore pearl earrings that we had made in Spain. Groomsmen wore navy with grey waistcoats. The flowers and buttonholes were the same & tied them in together.
Advice for other Brides

"Don’t overthink any of it. Go with what you will both like & you will have the best day. You will be having too much fun on the day with friends & family."

What was your most memorable moment of your special day?

"Us walking down the aisle & seeing all our friends and family in one place. A surreal and special moment for us to have them all together after so long following covid. "
