Wedding dress shopping is such an exciting journey, even if we are a little biased!!! We just love the magic when the bride finds "The One".
A special venue warrants a special dress, Leah found her special dress in the form of Martina Liana's Amara. A radiant floral masterpiece, as described by its designer, definitely a train made for a castle.
Let's hear all about it...
Leah, firstly tell us about your dress?
My dress was designed by Martina Liana in the style Amara, it had Ivory Lace on Luxe Crepe with Porcelain Tulle Plunge and an incredibly detailed train with floral prints. I had been to one other bridal shop prior to Pearls and Lace so I knew that I didn’t suit the ball gown style dresses and wanted something slightly more fitted. I had first discovered Pearls and Lace through Instagram and when I seen their page I automatically knew I was going to find my wedding dress there and couldn’t wait to book my appointment! When we had viewed Cabra Castle and went for our walk around I had visioned myself standing on the beautiful staircase and having a long dramatic train so when I went for my appointment in Pearls and Lace this was one thing I was certain on. I had selected a few dresses with my family and just didn’t seem to find one that ticked all the boxes, with the help of Emma we narrowed down what we thought suited me best and I left it in Emma’s trusting hands to go out and pick me 5 dresses. I fell in love with the second dress Emma had picked and it had everything I said I had wanted. I felt amazing in it and knew it was the one for me, what gave me more reassurance was when I FaceTimed my sister and dad and my dad said that’s the one, get it, I knew I had to get it. Emma is amazing at what she does and I am so grateful to her for picking out exactly what I was looking for.
How did you style your dress?

What would your advice be for other brides to be?
One piece of advice I would give to other brides is write plenty of lists! I made a list for everything possible and it kept me right through the whole process. Don’t underestimate the amount of information you have to try and remember and it can get overwhelming but if you write down a to do list and tick of each thing as you go along it will make it a whole lot easier!
What was your most memorable moment of your special day?
The most memorable part of the day was seeing my husband standing at the top of the church and walking down the aisle with my father. It was lovely to be surrounded by all my friends and family. I didn’t feel nervous at all just excited and happy for the next chapter in my life to begin.
Thank you so much for sharing a snapshot of your day, its clear to be seen it was everything you've ever dreamed of and more!!!
