Firstly- tell us about your dress?

My dress was always the style I envisioned, but perhaps not the silhouette. When I went dress shopping, I had just had a baby a few months earlier and I really didn't want to go shopping, I was so worried about nothing fitting me and I cried alot! I knew I wanted a simple, classic and timeless dress but I tried on about 6 or 7 options first that Nollaig chose for me, all different styles. I thought I had wanted sleeves as I am really conscious of my arms. When Nollaig took out my dress, I was hesitant at first. Even though I liked the simplicity of it, I didn't think I would like the silhouette, which was a much bigger dress than I envisioned.
"When she was putting the dress of me, I thought that this was definitely not the dress, however, the minute she turned me around to look in the mirror, I cried and instantly knew it was 'The One'."
When my bridesmaids saw me, they also cried. It was a Stella York dress, without sleeves...I felt so comfortable in the dress, the fact it didn't have sleeves, didn't even bother me. The dress was just perfect on my shape. I could see myself walking up the aisle in this dress and I knew it matched my vision of an elegant, timeless wedding perfectly.

The Details
I was going for a very elegant and timeless look. I love pearls and I used pearl accents for my look. I wore a pearl headband and a pearl veil, along with pearl drop earrings.
The colour scheme was burgundy, dusty pink & rose gold. As my dress was simple, I wanted to add the pop of colour in my bouquet and the decor. I chose a silk bouquet, which I can now treasure forever. I Do Wow Decor did the church and venue decor and it all looked so amazing

The Bridal Party
For my bridesmaids, I wanted them in something that wasn't your typical bridesmaid dress. As it was November wedding, I thought it was the perfect time to wear some sparkles, whilst remaining elegant. I found the perfect rose gold dresses that looked stunning on the both of them.
I wanted the groom & groomsmen in black tuxedos, but my hubby wanted to be a little different from the groomsmen so we settled on a burgundy jacket for him, so that he would stand out a little bit more.
The colour tones of everything worked so well together and I am so happy with all our choices.

Advice for other Brides
Know your own style and stick to your gut instincts. Lots of people will give you opinions & it is very easy to be swayed
